Every HYROX event offers exactly one World Championship qualification spot per age group across all PRO and Doubles Mixed divisions. The only exception to the PRO requirement is for athletes in the 60+ age brackets, where qualification slots are instead allocated through the OPEN divisions.
Qualification is open to all registered athletes, meaning you are equally eligible to earn a spot whether you hold an official athlete license or not.

The 48-Hour Window and Roll-Down Process
The qualification process begins two days after the final day of an event, when the highest-ranked, unqualified athlete / doubles team receives an official invitation via email. The athlete has a strict 48-hour window to accept the offer and complete the payment process; extensions are not permitted.
For Doubles teams, it is critical that both partners actively accept and complete their respective registrations within this timeframe, or the entire slot is passed on.

If an initial offer is declined or allowed to expire, the slot rolls down to the next eligible athlete in the ranking.
We differentiate between athlete statuses*:

• Athlete License Holders: The qualification slot can pass through an unlimited number of licensed athletes without restriction.
• Non-License Holders: The slot will only be offered to a predefined maximum number of non-licensed athletes per event—which is capped at 2 for most events. If both of these non-licensed athletes decline, the allocation for that specific division age group closes.

*This logic is primarily relevant for the highly competitive 25–39 age brackets, which feature a high density of licensed athletes hunting for Elite Series ranking points. By exempting licensed athletes from the offer limit, the roll-down chain doesn’t get blocked early on. This actively increases the likelihood of the World Championship spot successfully reaching non-licensed age-group competitors further down the field.

Essential Season Rules & Restrictions
Delivering World Championship qualification offers depends entirely on the accuracy of the data provided at your qualifying event. Athletes MUST ensure their first name, last name, date of birth, nationality, and email address are correct. The email address needs to be personal and unique for each athlete. Inaccurate email addresses or generic email addresses (e.g. info@) will result in failed offer processing. Furthermore, Doubles teams must register with two distinct, unique email addresses. System offers cannot be processed for teams sharing a duplicate email address.

To ensure fairness throughout the season, HYROX enforces several strict regulations. Under the Three-Decline Rule, letting an offer expire or actively declining it three times within the same race division bars you from receiving any further invitations for that division for the remainder of the season. Additionally, you cannot receive a new invitation at a current event if you still have an active, pending 48-hour offer from a previous race.

Athletes are allowed to compete in multiple distinct divisions (such as Singles and Doubles) at the World Championships, provided their assigned race times do not conflict, which is a risk borne entirely by the athlete.
However, you cannot qualify for the same division multiple times across different age groups or with multiple partners. Furthermore, your age group at the World Championships is strictly locked to the category in which you originally qualified, even if you age up before the actual championship event.

Finally, all registrations are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable. Partner changes in a doubles team are also prohibited.
Athletes may use a one-time forfeit right per division per season to cancel their slot and try to re-qualify at a future event (with another partner or in another age group). Please note that the slot will not be refunded to you.
When a spot is forfeited or an athlete upgrades to the Elite field, that slot is passed down the original leaderboard as a “one-shot” offer; if the next eligible athlete declines it, the slot expires immediately.
